Fifteenth Year Annual Meeting Celebration

November 2006

On November 3rd and 5th, the Colorado Association of Psychotherapists (CAP) hosted an Annual Meeting celebrating its 15th year of building and protecting the profession of Unlicensed Psychotherapy in Colorado. Over forty-five people enjoyed networking followed by an enlightening presentation by Juliet Austin, Healing Arts Marketing Coach. Her topic, "Building Partnerships: A Proven Method to Attract Clients" brought enthusiastic comments afterwards. Juliet knows what she speaks of, and her points clearly hit home with the audience.

On Sunday, November 5th, the celebration continued. An all-day workshop with Juliet explored "The Marketing Mindset for Success: Attitudes, Skills, and Strategies". A committed group of 34 healing arts professionals listened intently and repeatedly broke into small groups to support each attendee to actually work out answers to such questions as:

"What is a belief limiting me from effectively marketing myself?"

"What would a more positive alternate belief be?"

"What is my target audience?"

"What are the problems I help people solve?"

"How can I effectively reach people with these problems?"

A foundation was laid for a powerfully effective Marketing Plan for each workshop attendee.

In response to the enthusiasm of those attending, CAP plans to bring Juliet back April 15, 2007 for a workshop on Website Marketing as a part of CAP's focus for 2007, which is "CAP supports your Successful Practice".

Winter Member Survey

This winter, CAP plans to conduct a survey of its members. We want to see how we can better serve you and in which directions you would like to see our organization and our profession grow.
