President's Message

June 2006

Dear Members, Students and Friends:

The Colorado Association of Psychotherapists (CAP) is a professional organization which serves to: EDUCATE the public as to the effectiveness, dependability and affordability of unlicensed psychotherapy. PROTECT the public's right to choose from a wide variety of traditional and non-traditional therapeutic approaches. Through our lobbyist we continue to monitor laws that affect Psychotherapists. PROMOTE innovation in the field of psychotherapy. PROVIDE essential legal, theoretical and practical information and instruction to its members.

There has never been a better time to be in the field of psychotherapy and the healing arts! More and more the public is interested in taking charge of their lives,

healing their past and acquiring the skills necessary to fashion the kinds of lives that they wish to have. There is no shortage of clients! Everyone you know is a potential client for one of your colleagues. While we can not work with our own network of friends and family, we can certainly encourage them to seek help and support. We can and should recommend each other. Get to know each other and the type of work that other therapists do. Your practice is a business..learn to run your business for success! It is definitely possible to make a six figure income from working part time at your practice. I know this is true, because I have done it in the past. Today my school and this association requires so much time that I only see a few clients. I am constantly referring callers to other psychotherapists, so the clients are out there. Your success is only limited by your skills, intention and your capacity to receive. I am going attach some information from a Business Coaching for Psychotherapists newsletter. There are some interesting points to think about and I am sure you can get some tips. One of the values of CAPStone meetings is the networking and passing out your business cards, so other psychotherapists will know how to refer to you!

At the time of death a soul may become disoriented and not follow the normal pathway of moving into the Light. In such a case the soul may become attached to a living person, creating a variety of difficulties and symptoms for that person. Spirit Releasement is a compassionate hypnotherapeutic approach to freeing those who have become so attached, and thereby freeing the clients who have been affected by them. The documentation of the effect of attached beings and the results after releasement is significant. The end results of the releasement process are often dramatic, profound, and enduring.

Greg is teaching a weekend course on Spirit Releasement with Anne DeChenne Drucker CCHt. this July 29th - 30th for the Colorado School of Counseling Hypnotherapy in Parker. and is currently teaching a Specialty Certification Course in Regression Therapy
